    Zinus Mattress Lawsuit

This was filed on behalf of consumers, adults, minors, individuals who suffered personal property damage, or real estate property damage. The defectiveness experienced by many lies in the presence of a zipper on the outer cover of the mattress. There was no warning explaining to not remove this cover for laundry purposes. The fiber glass was intended to be a fire retardant inside the mattress. There was a label stating that the mattress contained 62% fiberglass but did not warn individuals against removing the outer cover. This negligence led to the exposure of many. Though fiberglass is not carcinogenic it can lead to many injuries listed below.

Potential risks to exposure to the glass fibers in the Zinus mattresses:

    • Coughing and or Wheezing
    • Upper respiratory infections or chronic breathing problems
    • Aggravation of asthma and or bronchitis
    • Gastrointestinal problems
    • Itchy skin
    • Allergic reactions
    • Rashes, including dermatitis
    • Eye injuries
Bodily cuts or shards of glass in the skin Lung scarring Nose or throat soreness
