Have you used a Philips CPAP, BiPAP, or mechanical ventilator?
Your health may be at risk from the potential carcinogenic and toxic properties of a foam utilized in certain devices. This foam may release gases or particles that could be breathed in or swallowed by users of CPAP machines, potentially leading to cancer, respiratory problems, or other serious health conditions. During evaluations, Philips identified that the polyester-based polyurethane (PE-PUR) foam, employed for noise reduction in their devices, can break down into particles.

Case Update:
Philips, the Dutch manufacturer of medical devices, announced on Monday, 4/29/2024 that it has agreed to a $1.1 billion settlement in the United States to resolve lawsuits related to its defective sleep apnea machines
In a statement Philips announced that it had reached a settlement with the plaintiffs to resolve the personal injury litigation and the medical monitoring class action, thereby ending the uncertainty associated with U.S. litigation. The company also noted that the agreement does not constitute an admission of fault, liability, or acknowledgment that any injuries were caused by Respironics' devices.
Selinger Law is accepting cases on behalf of people who used Philips CPAP, BiPAP, or mechanical ventilators and developed cancer or a serious health issue.
